TRIE Neighborhoods

This boundary file defines the 33 Taskforce for Racial Inclusion and Equity (TRIE) neighborhoods in New York City. TRIE neighborhoods are defined by Zip Codes, most recently specified by the CEC in a PDF titled "Deliverables & Expectations for the TRIE Neighborhood Initiative 2025 - 2026 Cycle” on pages 11-12. An official boundary file has not been released. Instead, the neighborhood boundaries were constructed by unionizing 2020 Zip Code Tabulation Area polygons per each neighborhood’s zip code list. The ZCTA geometries were fetched from ESRI’s Census ZCTA FeatureServer, part of its Esri Federal Data collection. Attribute: Description trie_neighborhoods: Neighborhoods within a given TRIE area recruitment_25_26: Neighborhoods in which the CEC is looking to recruit partners for the 2025-2026 program year; boolean borough: Borough Zip Codes: The Zip Codes comprising the TRIE neighborhood See this GitHub repo for the code used to generate this file: https://github.com/culturedatacommons/trie-neighborhoods-geo
